Quake was a collaboration of Hal McGee and Chris Phinney (Mental Anguish). Recorded November 30-December 2, 1990, at Electronic Cottage Headquarters, Apollo Beach, Florida. Chris Phinney: ARP Axxe, Korg Poly 800, voice, percussion, FX, loops. Hal McGee: Moog Prodigy, ARP Axxe, voice, percussion, FX, loops, Korg Poly 800, Moog Rogue, engineering, mix. Side One contains some crunchy synthesizer-based abstract industrial space music. Side Two contains our first forays into percussion and electroacoustic textures, as well as ambient scapes.
