Hal McGee plays the first half of
the Cause And Effect May 1985 Catalogue Aural Sampler cassette. Experimental
and electronic music from the mid-1980s cassette music scene.
In January 1985 Debbie Jaffe and
Hal McGee launched the Cause And Effect International Cassette Distribution
Service. Cause And Effect distributed cassettes of homemade, independent
and underground experimental, electronic and industrial music by artists
in USA, Belgium, France, England, Canada, Germany, Holland, Spain, Italy,
Northern Ireland, Switzerland, and Japan.
This sampler tape contained 30-second
excerpts from every cassette listed in the second Cause And Effect Catalogue,
from May 1985. During the first part of the program you will hear excerpts
